Join us for the 2019 Kentucky Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at AJ Jolly Park in Alexandria, Kentucky!

On Saturday, September 7, 2019, the Kentucky Thorough-Breasts are pleased to host the 10th anniversary of The Kentucky Dragon Boat Festival, Paddling for the Pink. Every year, they strive to improve your paddling experience and enjoyment of the beautiful surroundings.

Registration Fee is $750 for this year’s festival and will be capped at a maximum of 36 teams with up to six teams being Breast Cancer Survivor teams. To qualify as a BCS team, you must have at least 14 BCS team members with up to four support team members to fill out your team. This will allow them to finish the festival at a reasonable time to allow those who will be traveling that evening.

This year’s festival will have a stream-lined registration and waiver system as well as more team awards – start thinking of those t-shirts, drummer, tent decorations and team names!

There will be fantastic food vendors this year, from breakfast to barbeque, drinks, etc. There will also be merchandise vendors with great items to purchase. Educational materials will be available about cancer.

Teams will be limited to 18 paddlers per race this year. A minimum of 10 team members should attend an on-water practice for a refresher for past participants and new paddlers are highly encourage to practice before the festival. This is for the safety of all participants.

Forming a dragon boat team is easy! Included in your team registration is a practice session where we will show you how to paddle and race. Practice sessions and race day include all of the necessary equipment such as a boat, paddles, lifevests, a drum and a steersperson/coach. Find yourself 18 co-workers, friends and/or family member to join you at this exciting event!
