2026 Healthy Living Extravaganza!

7th Annual Wellness Program – Saturday March 14, 2026

You are invited to join the Pittsburgh Hearts of Steel Dragon Boat Team for a FREE fitness and healthy living seminar specially designed for the breast cancer survivor.

Did you know that you are a survivor the minute you are diagnosed?  This will be our 7th Healthy Living event and we are excited to offer the talks and activities listed below.  In addition, this event includes lunch and a chance to mingle with other breast cancer survivors.  No matter where you are in your journey we hope you’ll join us.  So please register and don’t forget to dress comfortably (ie: workout clothes, jeans/tee)! 

Guest Speakers

Dr. Colin Champ, Director of Integrative Oncology at AHN and head of the AHN Cancer Institute Exercise Oncology and Resiliency Center at AHN Suburban Hospital.

• • Beyond the Diagnosis: Nutrition & Exercise for Long-Term Health

Dr. Marija Balic, Professor of Medicine at UPMC, Co-Director of the Magee Women’s Cancer Program and the Clinical Co-Leader of the Women’s Cancer Research Center.

• • Programs and updates in breast cancer research

Wendy A. Myers, MSW, LCSW Clinical Social Work/Therapist Owner, Find Your Balance LLC.

• • Dealing with Anxiety and Cancer

Activities

Bollywood Zumba – Monica Jadhav Fun, energetic dance workout with easy-to-follow steps and lively music beats. No dance experience needed.

Chair Yoga – Colleen Bortz, Certified Fitness Instructor.

Strength Training – Mike Salamon Personal Trainer/instructor Baierl YMCA, Sewickley.

Sound Bath – Dr. Anitra Birnbaum, Certified sound and Reiki
practitioner. A sound bath is a meditative, immersive experience where participants are “bathed” in sound waves and vibrations.

Each attendee will have the opportunity to enter a raffle and win a piece of Kendra Scott’s beautiful jewelry (must be present to win).
